Hi Task Force,
We have cancelled the March 24 Task Force meeting due to lack of agenda items. Instead we are now planning to hold the April 28 Task Force meeting. Please see below for the webinars announcement:
Safer Products for WA stakeholders,
We published our working draft criteria for safer, and our working draft criteria for feasible and available. Our team outlined this approach in our October 2020 webinar.
We updated our earlier approach based on input from our webinar presentations and stakeholder meetings. We’re publishing more detailed information to keep you up-to-date as we start using the criteria to evaluate alternatives.
Join our March webinar to learn more
If you missed our webinar in October, you still have another opportunity to ask questions. Check out our criteria for safer and our criteria for feasible and available and join a webinar in March 2021 to learn more.
Looking for other ways to weigh in? Our team created an informal comment form for you to share input on our work during Phase 3. You’re also welcome to email us at SaferProductsWA@ecy.wa.gov, or set up a meeting to discuss Phase 3 work with our team.
How we’ll use these criteria
We are using these draft criteria to determine whether a potential alternative to a priority chemical class is safer than the existing process, feasible for use in the priority product, and available on the market. These criteria outline a required part of the work we will complete as we develop regulatory determinations.
Don’t hesitate to contact us (SaferProductsWA@ecy.wa.gov) with any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Safer Products for WA team
