ECOS Draft Resolution on PCB in Products

As requested by the SRTTF during our meeting this afternoon, attached is the 03-02-2012 Draft ECOS PCBs in Products Resolution.  This is an earlier draft and may not be completely representative of the version that will be presented to the committee on Tuesday, but it will provide everyone with a sense of what is being requested.  Also attached is the agenda for the meeting and a link with more information about the meeting:  http://ecos.org/section/events

Workshop on Performance Based Criteria Analysis

 SGS Analytical Perspectives is howding a workshop in Wilmington, North Carolina entitled:

 “Performance Based Criteria Analysis: Fundamentals & Applications”

Open Letter from Ecology Regarding Fish Consumption

Ted Sturdevant, director of the Washington Department of Ecology, has announced a revised approach for updating the state’s fish consumption rates for water quality and cleaning up contaminated sediments. Spokane Riverkeeper, The Lands Council, Kootenai Environmental Alliance letter to EPA re PCBs, Idaho Task Force participation and Idaho NPDES permits

“This letter is  sent on behalf of the Spokane Riverkeeper, The Lands Council, and the Kootenai Environmental Alliance (“Conservation Groups”) in response to your March 29, 2012 letter to Sarah Hubbard-Gray regarding conditions to address PCBs that will be included in the NPDES permits for Spokane River dischargers in the State of Idaho.”

EPA letter responding to Spokane River Stewardship Partners query

Response to Spokane River Stewardship Partners (SRSP) letter “… asking EPA to clarify on whether the NPDES permits the EPA is drafting for Publicly Owned Treatment Works discharging to the Spokane River in Idaho will require the Idaho permittees to participate in the Spokane River Regional Toxics Task Force.”
