  2. Review Comprehensive Plan development process with LimnoTech and best way develop BMPs.
  3. Review BMP ideas, select an example idea to define the review process:
  • Identify issue (source, regulatory program, responsibility)
  • Define the BMP
  • Evaluate the BMP (use, effectiveness, cost, control options, potential loading reduction)
  • Define implementation strategy
  • Define measurement criteria

Spokane County Comments on LimnoTech QA documentation from 2014 synoptic sampling

LimnoTech provided documentation on the quality assessment of the 2014 synoptic sampling to the Task Force and to the Department of Ecology to meet contract obligations in September of 2015. These documents can be viewed here, and are also attached below.  Please also see the comments on these documents received from Spokane County.  Task Force members are asked to review the documents and provide comments, no later than 12 pm on Tuesday December 1, 2015.  These comments and documents will be discussed at the next Technical Track Work Group meeting.

An Introduction to Chemical Hazard Assessment: QCAT Workshop

Northwest Green Chemistry and Ecology are offering training to use the Quick Chemical Assessment Tool (QCAT). QCAT lets users with limited resources or expertise evaluate the hazards of chemical ingredients and compare potential alternatives. This tool is great for planners, small businesses, nonprofits, and educational institutions.
In this day-and-a-half workshop, Ecology’s Dr. Alex Stone and other experienced instructors will provide an introduction to QCAT and hands-on activities so participants can practice using the tool.

Register early to suggest a chemical of interest that may be incorporated into the workshop!
